Where can you find a center
  • Where can you find a center

Until recently, I only knew 2 ountries where single women could use assited reproduction : Belgium and Spain.

Recently I have heard that the UK, the Netherlands and Sweden also do it. I do not know of any center in any of these countries

Depending on the medical condition, there are 2 options : insemination or IVF. Whether you can do insemination depends on your medical tests. However, some centers will also have an age limit for women who can do insemination.

If you are doing insemination a cycle will mostly go like this :

Day 1 : call the center to annouce your cycle has started

Day 3 - 7 : either nothing (cycle goes normally), or take 1, 2 or 3 doses of Clomid, or do injection of Puregon.

Day 9 : Start doing blood test and scan controlling the ovulation.

It will be on day 9 if you have a 28 days normal cycle. Start later if your cycle is usually longer.

When the follicle reaches 16mm diameter, get an injection of ovitrell to provoke your ovulation.

36 hours later, you're in the center getting inseminated.
